Another source highlighting the “spike” in coronavirus cases in Texas! Guess who it is?

I have been arguing against the reported “spike” in coronavirus cases in Texas. The support for this seemed to come from the media, without data that collaborates the concern. Then today I got this unsolicited email.

I don’t know who this person is or what party this person belongs to, but selling your candidacy by pushing a false coronavirus outbreak story seems like a bad idea. For reference, the Rt estimate of Texas remains the same it has been for months and IHME’s aggressive projections of deaths, infections and tests shows no increase for Texas. Also, note the steady increase in testing numbers (not falling short!).

So Hank Gilbert, do us all a favor and stop trying to scare your fellow citizens into voting for you!
