COVID-19 trends from the NYT

From todays NYT. Note the large decrease in in new deaths and slight upward trend in new cases.

and in Florida, there is concerning news…..

But, someone is finally trying to help Florida!

The CDC has released a guidance aimed at government controlled and private beaches to help protect lifeguards and sunbathers from the Covid-19.

“Encourage use of cloth face coverings among staff and beach visitors. Face coverings should be worn when feasible and are most essential at times when social distancing is difficult,” according to the recommendations

The CDC also included common sense to prevent drowning: “Advise those wearing cloth face coverings to not wear them in the water, because they can be difficult to breathe through when they’re wet. This means it is particularly important to maintain social distancing in the water.”

There is hope for the summer!
